EASY WAYS TO SAVE

Thermostat Setting     Set your thermostat to 78 degrees in the summer and 68 degrees in the winter. Following these temperature guidelines will save wear and tear on your system AND you will see a 3-4 % decrease in energy use= saving money! Georgia Power, Earth Cents.

    Also maintain efficiency by changing your filters at lest once every three months, have your systems professionally serviced, use a programmable thermostat to set your home temperature a few degrees warmer during the day when no one is home and begin to cool just before you arrive home.

System Size   Your home will not stay sufficiently cool if your air conditioner is undersized. However, an over-sized system will turn on and off more than necessary, increasing your cost for unnecessary energy use.

The Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Network, U.S. Department of Energy states that heating and cooling can account for more than half of your home's total utility bill. Consider a high-efficiency system. High-efficiency systems are identified by the Energy Guide label [yellow-and-black sticker] found on the equipment.
